Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou – Episode 12

This is it, the last episode of Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou.  Whatever happens in this final episode, I feel confident in saying that the show will always be also known as The Daily Lives of High School Boys.  Let’s settle in for episode 12 of Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou!

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou – Episode 11

The last episode of Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou was not to my taste, with lots of undignified physical humor.  But I have faith!  There have been some really good episodes of Daily Lives of High School Boys, episodes that blended character-driven humor with relaxing slice-of-life elements.  Let’s hope episode 11 of Danshi Koukousei no Daily Lives is in that vein.

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou – Episode 10

In the previous episode of Daily Lives of Danshi Koukousei no High School Boys Nichijou, the character I originally thought was the main character, Tadakuni, did not even appear.  I guess I approve, because I never really figured out what his personality was, other than “protagonist”, and then it became clear he wasn’t even the protagonist.  Here’s hoping he doesn’t show up in episode 10 of Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou either!

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou – Episode 9

I forget what Danshi Koukousei was about.  There was something about Daily Lives, and I think High School Boys?  It’s been too long.  You’d think with only following two shows it would be easier to keep up with them, but what actually happens is that I fall out of the habit of watching anime.  Let’s get moving towards getting back on track with episode 9 of Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou.

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou – Episode 8

Last episode on Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, we learned that the proper way to refer to Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou is “Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou”, so from this point on, that is what I will do.  Let’s watch episode 8 of The Daily Lives of High School Boys!

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou – Episode 7

Last episode on Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, aka Daily Lives of High School Boys, aka Watch Naruto Episodes Free Online, aka Hottest Celebrity Photographs, the high school girls were being really mean to the high school boys.  Some of the girls are clearly intended to be acting as antagonists, like the characters from the High School Girls are Funky segment.  But Ringo, at least, they seem to want me to empathize with and care about, but they have her responding violently to imagined insults.  This isn’t the bad old days of anime, where a tsundere would show how tsundere she was by pulling a hammer out of thin air and flattening the male lead.  These days, biting sarcastic remarks are the style; it’s the more civilized method.  Ringo is distinctly uncivilized, and yet Ringo is actually one of the nicer girls in the show!  Maybe Tadakuni’s little sister is nicer?  She responds violently to people stealing her underwear, but that’s sort of understandable and not incompatible with a civilized society.  Let’s hope we see more of her in episode 7 of Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou.

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou – Episode 6

The last episode of Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, aka Daily Lives of High School Boys, aka Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, aka Daily Lives of High School Boys was an excellent half-hour of comedy.  I’ve heard tell that this next episode isn’t so good, but let’s judge for ourselves by watching episode 6 of Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou.

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou – Episode 5

Last episode on Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, aka Daily Lives of High School Boys, aka Nichibros, aka Manshi Brobrosei bro Nichibro, the titular high school boys got together with some less-than-titular high school girls and held a culture festival.  It was good fun, but it did mean growing the female cast quite a bit.  Some of the girls at the festival were girls we’d already been introduced to, too (the genderswapped main characters): this means they’ve now achieved the status of “recurring characters”, even outside of their little “High School Girls Are Funky” corner.  I guess it might not be such a bad thing if the show were to go from being a male version of Hidamari Sketch to being the spiritual successor to School Rumble, because hey, I liked School Rumble.  Still, I hope they keep focus on the guys in episode 5 of Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou.

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou – Episode 4

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, aka Daily Lives of High School Boys, aka DaiLi (pronounce “Day Lie”), aka DaiLi (pronounced “Daily”).  Sorry for the sentence fragment, but I don’t really have anything to say about it.  I just needed to mention it, so that it would be salient in the discourse, and you wouldn’t be shocked when we suddenly started watching episode 4 of Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou.

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou – Episode 3

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, aka Daily Lives of High School Boys, aka DKN,  aka Detroit Kettle kNitty has been pretty good so far.  It might have the dubious honor of being my favorite show of this season if I never get around to watching Nisemonogatari.  I had planned to watch Nisemonogatari this season, but I thought I should rewatch Bakemonogatari first, and it turns out that Bakemonogatari is really good and I have been wanting to savor each delicious episode?  Episode 12, especially, is the best episode of anime since season 1 of Haruhi.  Anyway, I’ll start posting about Nisemonogatari… sometime, maybe.  For now, let’s watch episode 3 of Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou.
